| 抄録(和) | 現在のIPを中心とするインターネットアーキテクチャにこだわらず、ネットワークに対するハイレベルな要求条件から新しいネットワークを"クリーンスレート"に設計するアプローチによって研究開発する、新世代ネットワークの研究開発が行われている。近年、米国や欧州における研究開発はより一層活発化し、世界中でどのようなネットワークを作るか?という概念設計フェーズを終了し、どのように作るか?という詳細設計フェーズに入っている。どのようなネットワークを作るかという点においては、ITUで将来ネットワークの基本的な概念を記述したITU-T Y.3001が標準化勧告として発行された。今後、詳細技術の研究開発、実証、標準化の流れがスパイラル状に発展しながら繰り返し、新世代ネットワーク実用イメージを形成していくと考えられる。本発表では、現在の新世代ネットワークの研究開発の全体像を示すと共に、NICTの取組を示す。 |
| 抄録(英) | Research and development (R&D) of the NeW Generation Network (NWGN) had been initiated. The approach of the NWGN R&D initiative is not to stick to the current Internet architecture and is to design with "Clean Slate" from high-level requirements that derived from future societies. Research and development in the U.S. and Europe are more activated in recent years. The conceptual design phase for investigation of "What is the Future Network" was finished, and the detail design phase for study of "how to implement the Future Network" has been started. ITU-T Y.3001 that describes basic concept of Future Networks was standardized as a result of the conceptual design phase. It is expected that realistic model of NWGN will be developed through spiral chains of detail technologies research and development, demonstration, and standardization. In this presentation, whole picture of current NWGN R&D and current status of R&D lead by NICT is shown. |
