Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A brain contusion is a bruise of the brain that occurs in response to a brain injury or trauma. It was a precious experience for subject A. First, from the physiologic aspects, a CT is preferred over a magnetic resonance (MR) scan because fresh hemorrhages are easier to see. We proposed that intracranial pressure (ICP) to give emergency medical can be assessed using infrasound because tympanic membrane displacement results from the transmission of ICP waves via the cochlear duct to the inner ear and then via the oval window to the auditory ossicles of the middle ear. The relationship between the infrasound pressures from the tympanic membrane (ear canal pressure (ECP)), which is detected using an earplug embedded with a low-frequency microphone, and the carotid artery (carotid artery pressure (CAP)), which is detected using a stethoscope fitted with the same microphone, can be quantitatively characterized using a technique of systems analysis. In this paper, it can be found that the ECP waveform shows a pulsatile recording with a slow respiratory component, which is superimposed on a biphasic recording that, is synchronous with the cardiac cycle. The respiratory ECP waveform correlates with the instantaneous heart rate. Second, from the psychological aspects, we measured the threshold and the sense of direction.
