Abstract(in English) High-speed communication becomes possible among distant locations by the rapid growth of broad-band networks. A cloud storage service, which stores date in Data Centers (DCs) and provides Storage as a Service (SaaS), becomes the medium of choice in recent years. On the other hand, satellite networks have attracted much attention as a type of network that is tolerant to link disruptions caused by disaster. In order to realize a cloud storage that is tolerant to disasters, we study a novel distributed storage system integrated satellite networks. This integrated system achieves high confidentiality and robustness to distribute data by using an erasure coding. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of the erasure coding on the communication performance of the integrated storage system. Additionally, we propose a method to reduce the transmission time for the restoration of lost data in the integrated storage system with erasure coding and also verify the efficacy of the proposed method.
