Abstract(in English) The earthquake and tsunami occurred in March 11, 2011, an unprecedented disastrous event in the history of Japan has caused considerable results with terrestrial communication lines in Tohoku area. This paper shows how satellite communication promoted activities to rescue, restore and reconstruct in this situation, and how Japan as a leading country in disaster prevention and preparedness could contribute to the world by providing satellite solution.
