Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the mobile traffic is increasing rapidly with the spread of high speed mobile device such as smart phones. Therefore, the necessity of the further capacity enhancement in cellular network is demanded. In order to meet such a demand, in 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) has been standardized as Release 10 (Rel-10) and Release 11 (Rel-11) and it has be almost completed in September, 2012. For further enhancement of LTE-A, Standardization of beyond LTE-Advanced will start in October, 2012 as Release 12 (Rel-12). A 3GPP workshop was held in June, 2012 to show companies' views and discuss direction of standardization for Rel-12 and beyond. In this paper, the status of standardization on LTE-A and its main technologies are explained. In addition, the trend of standardization on beyond LTE-A is introduced.
