Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the emergency situations, mesh nodes can perform as the ad hoc routers for end users to deliver packets to the outside networks such as the Internet. Energy constraint is an essential problem for mesh nodes, since parts or all of network infrastructure may be out of constant power support and work only by batteries. In this paper, we give fundamental analyses of prolonging the network lifetime by sharing the routing work load among mesh nodes. We specially study the impact of route switching frequency and route switching cost on the network lifetime of mesh networks.
