Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The QoSMOS project is developing tools and techniques which will allow for the opportunistic use of radio spectrum. The opportunistic use will be provided with managed quality of service for users with a range of mobility characteristics. This paper gives an overview of the QoSMOS project, describing the main concept and project structure. The main scenarios for the project; cellular extension in whitespace, cognitive femtocell and cognitive ad-hoc network; are discussed with some of the key benefits highlighted. Results from a spectrum micro-trading investigation are also shown, where a new ecosystem for spectrum micro-trading has been proposed.
