Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This manuscript considers a secondary system sharing the spectrum with the primary system at the same time and frequency. The proposed overlay system relays the primary signal and overlays its own data on it. The previous studies have shown the prospective potential of this scheme using symbol error rate as a measure of performance. In addition to the error rate, this manuscript introduces the channel capacity and the achievable rates to evaluate the proposed scheme. The result shows that the proposed scheme allows the secondary signal to communicate at the high rate without harming the channel capacity of the primary system.
