Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) User selection schemes for multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) transmission are studied in this paper. MU-MIMO transmission is an effective scheme to improve the spectrum effciency while keeping the number of the antennas in a user terminal practical. Precoding technique performs signal processing on transmission signals based on a channel state information at transmitters. This technique help receivers to demodulate the desired signal in MU-MIMO transmission. However, a user who do not maintain orthogonalty with other users included in the MIMO multiplexing causes degradation of the system capacity in the MU-MIMO system with linear precoding. In order to avoid this degradation, it is necessary to select a user group in which one is approximately orthogonal to others. Although a lot of user selection schemes have been proposed, few literature have been reported on transmission performance measured in MU-MIMO transmission experiment. In this paper, user selection schemes for the actual transmission experiment toward the implementation of MU-MIMO transmission experiment are studied.
