Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes the position detection for mobile terminals using the OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signals. The LCX (Leaky coaxial cable) is utilized as infrastrucure, feeder and antenna. In the proposed scheme, the position is estimated from the wireless channel responses, and it is obtained by pilot signals included in OFDM signals. The LCX enables us to easily construct wireless coverage especially in long and narrow area. In this area, therefore, the number of base statons is expected to be reduced. In addition to position location, proposal can provide broad band wireless communication services without any modification in payload frames. Radio standard is assumed to IEEE 802.11 g/a WiFi. Accuracy is evaluated by using computer simulation.
