Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By using server virtualization technology and assigning server resources to communication services dynamically, the communication system can quickly and effectively cope with traffic even at a sudden traffic volume change. Then, at a disaster, it will be possible to guarantee a service quality by reducing resources for less important services, such as motion picture and rich contents distribution, and by increasing resources for important services, such as voice communication and mail service for confirming safety of relations. Although a use of IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) is being popular in the IT world for a similar purpose, a general purpose IaaS is not enough for satisfying with telecommunication specific requirements of virtual resource use of communication services. This paper discusses about the unique requirements such as communication quality or high availability and, as well, the virtualization server management infrastructure for the communication services.
