Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Little study has approached the inter-brain synchronizations during coordination of behavioral rhythms between individuals. Here, we aim to identify the brain oscillations which is related to synchronized behaviors by measuring the two-person EEG data (N = 34) during an alternately tapping task. This task required the participants to synchronize the tapping intervals by visual feedbacks. The EEG analyses showed that the beta (15-30Hz) and alpha rhythms (about 10Hz) on the central electrodes were modulated around the onset of the self tapping and observation of other tapping. The time-relationships between two rhythms were correlated with behaviors. Interestingly, the beta rhythms showed positive correlations between only the synchronized subjects, whereas negative correlations between most subjects. These results suggested that communication-related brain activities would represent the synchronized behaviors.
