Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a noninvasive cross-sectional imaging technique using infrared light, which need fast and widely wavelength swept laser. The laser based on the technique called dispersion tuning does not require any tunable filters, and thus the sweep rate and range are not limited by mechanical parts of filters. We have demonstrated the laser which can be swept over 100nm at up to 200kHz. Recently, the sweep performance at high sweep rate was drastically improved. We have applied the laser to an OCT system and obtained the OCT images at up to 250kHz sweep rate.
