Abstract(in English) We discuss propagation constant and transmissivity for two dimensional slab waveguides array consisting of two cores with the same waveguide width (d) and the gap therebetween (w), where w/d is enough small so that there exist only one propagation mode. Our discussion is based on two types of analytical solutions of Maxwell's equation. One type of the analysis is a full analysis for the optical system and the other type is perturbation from two dimensional slab waveguide system having one core with the width 2d. We calculate propagation constant and transmisivity using both types of analysis to show that the first order of perturbation solution includes the first order approximation of (w/d) and argue the validity of the perturbation.
