Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | On spectrum sharing systems, transmission power control (TPC) effectively works to avoid harmful inter-system interference by reducing transmission power of a low-priority system in shared bands. In such cases, however, non-linear distortion noise severely affects transmission quality of low-priority TPC users because their transmission power is reduced. This paper proposes a non-linear distortion noise control method for adaptive modulation based on a clipping and filtering method to improve reception quality of the low-priority TPC users. The proposed method adaptively filters non-linear distortion noise in TPC bands according to required transmission quality of modulation schemes. From the relation between clipping levels and the non-linear distortion noise power when applying OFDM transmission, threshold levels for clipping and distortion noise power ratios for filtering used with the proposed method are investigated by computer simulations. Spectrum properties and BER performance with the proposed method are also evaluated. The results show the proposed method can meet required transmission quality according to modulation schemes of the low-priority users when sharing spectrum with TPC. |
