Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigate scheduling algorithm to support coordinated multi-point (CoMP) operation for Long-Term Evolution (LTE)-Advanced systems studied in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). CoMP, which improves cooperative transmission among network nodes (transmission points: TPs) and reduces or eliminates inter-TP interference, enables performance improvement in cell edge throughputs. Although, scheduling algorithm on LTE system is well investigated from single cell operation perspective, its extension to CoMP, namely each user equipment (UE) has multiple CSI reports, requires further analysis of Proportional Fairness (PF) metric calculation with maintaining PF criteria. To this end, we propose to apply weighting factor in accordance with the number of CSI reports configured to the UE. To evaluate the benefits of this algorithm, multi-cell system level simulations accounting channel estimation error are carried out. This confirms improved algorithm enables to maintain fairness.
