Coupling characteristics of reverse coupled long-period fiber grating

Abstract(in English) A conventional long period fiber grating (LPFG) has a function of band rejecting filter, whose core mode couple into specific cladding modes. In this paper, we propose a novel reverse coupling LPFG, which specific cladding modes couple into the core mode. In the experiment, we confirmed those optical characteristics using a white light source.
