Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In biometric authentication systems, the parameters which effect usability and security of the systems will be adjusted in accordance with use cases. However, when biometric authentication systems are applied in public cloud service, it is easy to try unauthorized access to the systems by attackers. Therefore, the new method for spoofing detection will be needed. In this study, we proposed detecting brute force attacks on fingerprint authentication systems by classifying input fingerprint samples using similarity of them. We experimented with fingerprint samples which represented authorized and unauthorized user inputs. Experimental results show that brute force attacks are detected with 100% accuracy, and authorized user inputs are determined correctly with 98% accuracy.
