Development of Route Setting Software for Optical Packet and Circuit Integrated Network

Abstract(in English) We have proposed an optical packet and circuit integrated network, where optical data packets and data on lightpaths are transmitted on common physical resources, to provide service diversity, energy efficiency and a simplified control mechanism toward New Generation Networks. Recently, we have developed an integrated optical packet and circuit node with operability and stability, and demonstrated a ring network with those integrated nodes. The optical packet and circuit integrated network will be connected with a New Generation Network testbed JGN-X for the promotion of development of advanced networking technologies or applications. In integrated nodes, the route of each optical packet is determined by a routing table between destination labels and output ports. In this paper, we report a developed route setting software, which can routing tables of plural integrated nodes and switches as a whole, for improving usability of the optical packet and circuit integrated network testbed.
