Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) 7T-MRI is a developing and next-generation MR machine currently installed in about 40 institutes around the world. Fundamental characteristics include high SNR, T2* shortening, increased phase shift and chemical shift, elongation of T1 relaxation time, inhomogeneity of B1 field, and increased SAR. Adverse effects on human body are limited and transient. A lot of brain functional imaging such as fMRI based on BOLD effect, blood flow measurement, and oxygen extraction fraction, are being developed.
