Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This research was done to examine the hierarchy relations of the high order complex impression words and the basic impression words about sounds. In this paper, the complex impression words relates to a sense of auditory presence and spatial impressions of sounds, and the basic impression words express acoustic features, orientation, movement of sounds. Twenty-seven complex impression words and 120 basic impression words were used. Sixteen expert sound engineers participated in the relation evaluation experiment on the impression word. We calculated the degree of the relation of the basic impression words to each complex impression word, and performed a hierarchical cluster analysis using Ward's method on each of the complex impression words and the basic impression words. As a result, we found the similarity of the lower level clusters with, and the difference in case of higher level cluster forming between the results of our former study with the general female participant. It was suggested that the specialty about the sound production influenced on the recognition of the basic and the complex impression words about sounds.
