Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses objectives, outcomes, issues and perspectives of our trials of international collaborations in education and research by means of a SaaS-based cloud system WebELS. WebELS has been developed to support a flexibility and internationalization of Ph.D education in Science and Technology. A need-oriented design and improvement through actual use has been done. WebELS consists of an on-demand learning system and on-line meeting system with an embedded authoring feature as an "all-in-one" system. Resent years an international contribution is requested from developing countries more in education than technology transfer and e-Learning should be one of most suitable measures to achieve it. Through our trials in two international collaboration projects future issues become clear to improve collaborative activities using e-Learning.
