Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photonic crystal microcavities that can confine the light to ultra-small volumes for a long time have attracted much attention due to having feasibility of all optical processing. In this paper, we develop a 3-D vector FEM solver for designing photonic crystal microcavities. We report formulation of the 3-D vector FEM for cavity problem and performance evaluation of the implemented solver.
