Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A smartphone is considered to be a multifunctional micro personal computer which has not only a communication function but also various sensors and function of connection to cloud services. In this paper, we propose a general-purpose platform which can operate home electronic appliances by various methods according to a user's situation using a smartphone. Moreover, we explain architecture of a network remote control unit used as a core element of the platform, which equipped a communication function with a smartphone and a transmitting function of infrared remote control signals. In addition, an operating platform for home electric appliances has been composed as a demonstration system, and it is shown that its basic function and effectiveness were verified by application system developed by using composed platform.
