Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, activity recognition using Doppler sensor has been actively developed. Doppler sensor can sense human activity utilizing Doppler shift, which is the difference between the transmit frequency and received frequency. It is a palm-sized device and enables human sensing without wearable sensors. Thus, it is suitable for falling detection of the elderly. However, Doppler sensor is less sensitive to the movements orthogonal to the irradiation direction. In this report, we propose falling detecton using multiple Doppler sensors that enables detection of the multi-directional falling.
