Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Designing high capacity and quality-preserving data hiding methods for binary images is more difficult than for multi-valued images because binary images have less redundancy. We introduce a data hiding method for binary images based on a pixel block feature and position of connected component, which improves data hiding capacity while maintains its quality. We first find connected components, and embed information into each component by adjusting a pixel block feature and by moving each component slightly. Connected components cannot be moved freely, or stego images can be degraded severely. We combine neighbor components into one unit and move them together to make stego images plausible.
