Abstract(in English) If conventional two-layer coding methods use the high contrast tone-mapped image as the first layer, the coding efficiency degrades significantly. This paper proposes invertible high contrast tone-mapping method, and then an efficient two-layer coding method which applies it to calculate the first layer. Additionally, this paper discusses a two-layer coding method with two tone-mapping effects.
