Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Future broadcasting satellite services (BSS) in the 21 GHz band which is expected to convey enhanced reality and spatial reproduction media (Super Hi-Vision, spatial imaging-type integral three dimensional (3D) television). Based on the study results which had been carried out in ITU-R, the regulations and procedures for BSS in the 21 GHz band including the frequency sharing conditions were decided in WRC-12 held in January to February 2012. In this paper, we show the results of WRC-12 on BSS in the 21 GHz band and especially examples of the evaluation of the impact of interference on the performance of BSS in the 21 GHz band in terms of the increase of the outage time caused by the rain attenuation.
