Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Communication protocols for cooperative spectrum sensing are investigated based on the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC protocol. This paper focused on the uplink from the sensing node to the sensing coordinator for reporting local sensing results and information to the sensing coordinator. Three cases of reporting the sensing results are considered: using the contention access period (CAP), using the contention free period (CFP), and using a newly proposed reporting period (RP) which is located at the end of Inactive period. Computer simulation is conducted to compare the performance of the above-mentioned protocols. Probability of packet loss, lifetime of packets are utilized as performance criteria. Simulation results have been demonstrated that the proposed RP provides better performance than using conventional CAP and CFP.
