Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recently years, the research of BCI(Brain-Computer Interface) has been more and more investigated. Motor imagery which is a kind of tasks in BCI experiments is mainly studied for medical care such as rehabilitation of quadriplegic patients, but the study leading to general use has not been performed elaborately. The one of the reasons is the lack of body parts which are available in the motor imagery BCI. Previous works show the possibility of using the EEG based BCI with actual movements of each finger as well as each limb. However, there is no investigation on EEG to determine motor imagery of individual finger without actual movements. In this paper, we show a preliminary experiment on EEG to determine motor imagery of individual finger, that is, thumb and little finger motor imagery with right hand of the subjects. The result of analyses is that the average classification accuracy is 68.3%.
