Abstract(in English) | We have seen a lot of unique features for VCSELs, such as low power consumption, wafer-level testing, small packaging capability and so on. Recent advances in VCSEL photonics will be reviewed. In addition, we address our research activity on slow light photonic devices based on VCSEL structures, which include a miniature slow light switch, the monolithic integration of VCSEL with slow light modulator/amplifier and giant beam steering functions. |
