Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a fast processing method for Tomlinson-Harashima Precoding (THP) circuit used for multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) wireless communication systems. The authors separately design the LQ decomposition and interference cancellation parts in THP circuit, since their requirements for the calculation accuracy and the operation speed are not identical. The requirement for the operation speed for LQ decomposition part is low owing to the less-frequently update of the channel state information (CSI), while that for the calculation accuracy is high owing to the continuous use of the result of LQ decomposition until the next update of CSI. Hence the authors adopt ASIP (Application Specific Instruction-set Processor) for LQ decomposition part. On the other hand, the requirement for the operation speed for the interference cancellation part is high owing to the high frequent update of transmission data. Hence authors adopt the precomputation of division and the pipeline architecture, of which the processing time is reduced by 74%.
