Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For wireless packet communications, hybrid automatic repeat-request (HARQ) is an indispensable technique. Recently, we proposed a joint transmit/receive filtering based on the minimum mean square error criterion (joint Tx/Rx MMSE filtering) to improve the transmission performance of broadband single-carrier (SC) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) spatial multiplexing. In this paper, we propose a joint Tx/Rx MMSE filtering for HARQ with SC-MIMO spatial multiplexing and packet combining. At each retransmission of the same packet, joint Tx/Rx MMSE filtering is carried out so as to minimize the MSE after packet combining. The throughput performance of turbo-coded HARQ with SC-MIMO spatial multiplexing and joint Tx/Rx MMSE filtering is evaluated by computer simulation.
