Abstract(in English) This paper presents indoor experimental results that consider a real propagation environment for 4-by-2 multi-user (MU)-MIMO that achieves up to 1-Gbps throughput using carrier aggregation with 5 component carriers (CCs), i.e., a 90-MHz bandwidth, in the LTE-Advanced downlink. The achievable throughput performance considering various transmitter antenna arrangements, i.e., localized and distributed antenna arrangements, is evaluated using the implemented LTE-Advanced transceiver, where extended channel state information (CSI) feedback based on eigenvalue decomposition (EVD) is implemented for MU-MIMO operation. The indoor experimental results show that the peak throughput exceeding 1 Gbps and average throughput of 920 Mbps are achieved by applying 4-by-2 Rank-4 MU-MIMO with 2 mobile stations in a centralized antenna arrangement. Furthermore, we confirm that, in a distributed antenna arrangement, although the peak throughput of 1 Gbps is not observed, a stable and relatively high throughput is expected.
