Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For mobile reception, the Doppler spread using a directional antenna for a received antenna is partial of that using an isotropic antenna for a received antenna. Therefore, in this case, the fading speed becomes slow, and it causes the burst bit errors deriving from the long duration of the low receiver's power. Because it is difficult to randomize the burst errors by interleaving, in the slow fading environment, there is a problem that the effects of error correct codes, such as convolutional and turbo codes, decrease. In this paper, we propose the way to get the path diversity gain by using multiple base stations and the way to generate the pseudo fast fading fluctuation to the received signal by controlling the receiver's antenna beam. The simulation result shows that the two ways improve the performance in the slow fading environment, and by combining the two ways, the performance in the slow fading environment is further improved.
