| 抄録(和) | 近年,スマートフォン市場が急速に拡大し,モバイルデータのトラフィック量は増加の一途を辿っている.モバイルデータのオフロード先として公衆無線LANサービスが注目され,無線LANアクセスポイントの増設が加速している.そのため,アクセスポイントの総消費電力の増加が懸念されており,省電力化に対する要求が大きくなっている.省電力化技術の一つとしてアクセスポイント単体のスリープ制御方式の検討が行われている.本稿では,複数アクセスポイントが連携してトラフィック集約を行うことによって,アクセスポイント単体のスリープ制御方式の省電力化効果を増大させる手法について評価し,その結果を報告する. |
| 抄録(英) | Recently, the mobile data traffic is increasing rapidly with new market of smart phone increasing. Passing the mobile data traffic to public wireless LAN (WLAN) is considered as a possible way to ease the load of mobile network. Operators deployed several hundred thousand WLAN access points (APs). With these APs, the power consumption will also become larger and cause new environment problem. Thus, we study a sleep control method to reduce power consumption in WLAN APs. In this paper, we propose a sleep control method with traffic aggregation, which accommodates sparse traffic to a specify AP, and let other APs can enter sleep state longer. Using computer simulation, we will show the power saving effect of our method, which reduces power consumption without degrading QoS. |
