Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate the transmission power allocation method for the non-orthogonal access with a successive interference canceller (SIC) in the cellular downlink. Assuming the application of the proportional fair (PF)-based multiuser scheduling, we show several candidates of simple but sub-optimal transmission power allocation strategies as well as an optimal one. The simulation results show that the non-orthogonal access with SIC using the proposed transmission power allocation methods can enhance the system-level throughput performance compared to orthogonal access, and the level of the performance degradation when we use the proposed sub-optimal transmission power allocation strategies compared to the case with optimal power allocation.
