Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to decrease the loss caused by friction that is inevitable factor in ultrasonic motor, we developed an actuator composed of two piezo-electric bimorphs driven by a relatively low frequency wave. The complex actuator could drive a rotor with less effect both of the friction and warning with changing the length and width of a coupler, the resonance characteristic, the frequency-phase difference characteristic, the frequency-revolving speed characteristic, and the voltage-revolving speed characteristic were studied. With the coupler size of 40.3-mm width in length of 4 mm, rotation of 69.8 rpm was obtained upon 2.26 kHz and 42.4V_ of power applied. The longer and narrower coupler caused the higher rotation speed.
