Abstract(in English) Here we demonstrate single CW wavelength emission at room temperature (25℃) on non-grating asymmetric active multi-mode interferometer laser diode (MMI-LD) by using asymmetric configuration in high-mesa structure as single-wavelength emission light source. The actually implemented devices showed sufficient side-mode suppression ratio (SMSR) of 31dB (λ=1.56μm). Moreover, we demonstrate modulation characteristics using this novel device also at 1.25Gbps (PRBS: 2^7-1, back to back).
