Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a deinterlacing method based on an inpainting deinterlacing method called spatio-temporal inpainting method (STIM), which is one of the most accurate deinterlacing methods. The proposed method employs additional constraints for the cost optimization and utilizes motion detection history to improve the accuracy of edge detection and motion detection, respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves 1.9 dB higher PSNR than STIM on average.
