Adaptive Color Image Enhancement Method Using Luminance and Saturation Components

Abstract(in English) One way of enhancing color image contrast is to feed back edge/detail information from the luminance and saturation components into the luminance components. However, the feedback effect of the saturation component is not well understood. Furthermore, it is necessary to clear the balance of saturation feedback and luminance feedback. In this paper, we clear the subjective effect of the saturation feedback through the enhancement results. Moreover, we show how to decide the degree of feedback of luminance and saturation components.
