Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, large file downloading requests on high-speed and huge computer networks are increasing rapidly. These requests are typically handled in the best-effort manner, which results in unstable completion time. We consider the model where a download request must be completed until its deadline given by a user and rejected if it cannot be satisfied in a bandwidth guaranteed network. To accept more requests, it is preferable that there are more ongoing requests with loose deadline in a network. In this paper, we propose a dynamic bandwidth assignment method to reduce the blocking probability, by introducing a new metric to consider the utility time and the usage of bandwidth. The proposed method gives higher priority to the request which have higher metric. Finally, simulation experiments show its exellent performance.
