Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper we discuss how Paralinguistic Information of speakers changes conveyed impressions on hearers under Time-Scale Modification system(TSMS) environment. Paralinguistic information expresses intention, mental status, emotion and interpersonal attitude of speakers". It deforms meanings of utterances, smoothness of conversations and impressions of speakers. We perform quantitative evaluation tests using time-scale modified dialogues. The evaluation results show that there was no significant differences on Pleasantness. On the other hand it shows that lowering the speech rate conveys boredom impressions of the speakers. We can suggest that expression of paralinguistic information must be taken into account for developing TSMSs.
