Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Pulse and respiratory waveforms are detected by photopletysmography. Blood absorption coefficient at blue light is 25 times as strong as near-infrared light. We examined experimentally whether a difference would arise in the amplitude of a respiratory waveform measured on two wavelengths. Two respiratory waveforms were obtained using two LEDs of blue and near-infrared lights. Two respiratory waveforms were quit similar, and there were no significant difference in the amplitude of 2 waveforms. From the above, it was suggested that the difference of the blood absorption coefficient does not affect the amplitude of respiratory waveform of photopletysmography, and LEDs of blue and near-infrared lights are available as a light source of the sensor.
