Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The proposed Time-shifted CSMA/CA with reservation is a media access control scheme used in wireless communication, in which nodes periodically send the data to a base station. A beacon period is divided into several slots in the proposed scheme. Each node selects a slot to start CSMA/CA-based transmission process. In the initial state, a node randomly chooses a slot. If a node succeeds in its data transmission, it starts the transmission process in the reserved slot notified by the base station in the next period, when carrier sense and random back off is skipped. Through slot reservation, accesses to the base station can be reliably distributed. As a result, access contention is reduced, leading to, efficient data transmission. In this paper, we compare the performance of the proposed scheme and a scheme that each node randomly chooses a slot to start the transmission process without a reserved slot every period. We showed that the proposed scheme can reduce the transmission process time by the better slot length selection compared to the comparison scheme. We also showed that the best slot length selection is to consider the transmission process time and the number of node.
