Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The MAC protocol using sectored antennas provides higher energy efficiency and higher throughput in wireless sensor networks. The MAC protocol using sectored antennas needs neighbor discovery method for location information and RSSI of each sectors. However, it has a big electricity consumption to search for all sectors. In this paper, we consider reduction of the number of search for sectors to reduce cost of the neighbor discovery. The simulations result that it is effective to reduce the search between minor lobes for data gathering.
