User scheduling in MU-MIMO system considering codebook design and interference among users

Abstract(in English) Recently, multiuser MIMO communication system has attracted much attention because of their potential for increasing radio resource efficiency. Moreover, the system can provide high performance by selecting users based on their information such as channel state information(CSI) and average signal to noise power ratio called user scheduling. However, most of conventional works assume perfect CSI at the base station. In this paper, we focus on a more practical scenario where base station knows only imperfect CSI by using quantization codebook. We modify the conventional user scheduling algorithm for block diagonalization(BD) such that the modified algorithm selects users by considering the imperfect CSI, the average SINR, and the quantization error of users. In addition, we modify the conventional codebook to a new codebook which considers antenna correlation to decrease interference among users. Numerical analysis shows system capacity is improved by using the proposed user scheduling method and codebook.
