Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Movement of particles and the determination of the solution search direction in the conventional particle swarm optimization(PSO) are made by the best position and the best position of all the particles of a swarm which the particle itself obtained in the past. The learning strategy based on such a past experience can be used easily. On the other hand, the technique of raising the solution search performance of PSO is proposed by using Orthogonal Learning(OL) which is a more efficient learning strategy. In this article, the numerical simulation using a benchmarking function compares the solution search performance of the conventional PSO and PSO using OL.
