Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) OTA(Over-the-Air) measurement, which creates multipath-rich propagation environment around a DUT(Device Under Test) is an effective method for evaluating a MIMO communication terminal in a real environment. There are two ways for realizing OTA measurement system. One is a fading-emulator-type method which creates the propagation enviroment by arranging a number of probe antennas around the DUT. The other is the method using a radio echoic chamber named "reverberation chamber." We have proposed a simplified configuration of fading-emulator-type method called "antenna-branch-controlled type" and developed a wideband fading-emulator based on our method. In this paper, we describe the architecture of the simplified MIMO-OTA system implemented in an FPGA and evaluate its basic characteristics.
