Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to investigate biological effect of radio waves from base stations of cellular phones, an exposure experiment with unrestrained rats inside a reverberation chamber is being planned. In this paper, the method of moments is used to design the reverberation chamber as a whole-body exposure system for bio-effect testing. Electric field distributions in the chamber using both dipole and helical antennas are then experimentally validated. It was found experimentally that, when using dipole and helical antennas, the measured average electric field strengths inside the chamber for an average input power of 1 W are about 182 V/m and 207 V/m, respectively, which almost correspond to those of our numerical solutions.
